The intelligent truss structures have been widely applied in various fields with therapid development of space intelligent truss in the field of space in recent years. Variousproblems also emerged, especially the structural vibration problem. Intelligent trussstructure will generate free vibration damping under incentive load. Although the freevibration can decay automatically under damping itself, but the big vibrationdisplacement and slow decay rate have destructive effect for structure. In order toreduce the damage, this paper does some research.This paper takes fuzzy vibration control of intelligent truss structure as the researchbackground and the intelligent truss structure as the research object, establishes themathematical model of intelligent structure, the model of regular large space truss anddynamics model of intelligent truss which has active rods. The previous frequency ofthe structure is solved by ANSYS modal analysis, according to the frequency, modalcontrol equations of the intelligent truss structure taken as controlled object in vibrationcontrol simulation stage is established. Combined with the characteristics of the fuzzycontrol theory and genetic algorithms, the optimization method of the fuzzy controllerbased on genetic algorithms is proposed, and applied to intelligent truss to have anactive vibration control of intelligent truss structure, through the example simulation toverify the effectiveness of the method.The key of fuzzy controller design is fuzzy rules, whose performance determinesthe control effect of fuzzy system. General fuzzy rules are obtained from expertexperience, in which much subjectivity exists, so the rules are not the best. The geneticalgorithms which have strong global optimization ability are very suitable for theoptimizing process of fuzzy controller. This paper has improved genetic algorithm, anda method optimizing fuzzy rules by improved genetic algorithm is proposed. Theoptimization process of fuzzy control rules has a detailed introduction. Finally, themodel of83intelligent truss structure is built by Fuzzy logic Toolbox (Fuzzy Toolbox)and Matlab/Simulink, The simulation results show that, using genetic algorithm tooptimize the control rules of fuzzy controller is feasible and effective, and the controlrule plays a vital role in the performance of the controller.
