Through monitoring the working condition of various parts of engine room for real-time,not only can make the marine engineer understand the comprehensive information of the wholeship timely, but also can take advantage of wireless LAN technology realize the remotecentralized monitoring, this can greatly improve the efficiency of the marine engine managementoperation, and reduce the working intensity.This paper mainly studies the design method of the equipment operation data acquisitionsystem in engine room and the state parameters of power equipment. Put the automation ofmarine engine room to the Jimei university as the research object, apply control technology,detection technology, computer technology, digital communication technology, fault diagnosistechnology and satellite communication technology with together, to provide the technologyplatform for the studying of the modern ship "unmanned cabin", the remote technicalmanagement, the remote fault diagnosis, the engine room management efficiency, the energyconsumption emissions regulation and evaluation application system. Data acquisition objectmainly include the main diesel engine thermal parameters, the ship power station runningparameters and the operation of the ship electric propulsion system parameters.First of all, the paper according to the characteristics of acquisition parameters to choose theappropriate sensor model, use the Field-Bus to connect the sensor signal to the I/O module ofPLC. System uses the Allen-Bradley1769-L35E PLC controller of the Rockwell Automationcompany, using RSLogix5000programming software as the development tool for design thePLC ladder diagram control program, and put the acquisition station in the field to realize thedata acquisition. And exploit the wireless local area network (LAN) technology to connect theremote monitoring computer to the database server, as to achieve the OPC communicationbetween configuration software and PLC controller. Practice has proved that the systemhardware configuration is flexible, economical and practical and functions completed. Adoptedthe modular design method, easy to maintain and extend.
