With the rapid development of China’s economy, a large number of high-risebuildings are being built all over the country. The structure of high-rise buildingsintends to be higher, more flexible, of lower damping, of lighter quality, and moresensitive to wind load. Wind load has gradually become an important factorcontrolling the security, comfort and economy of high-rise buildings. Different windfields have an important impact on the distribution of structure wind pressure, windloads and wind-induced response. Thus, to do research in this aspect is of greatengineering significance. Applying test means of wind tunnel manometry anddynamometer, the thesis attempt to study wind resistance of high-rise buildings indifferent wind fields. It is divided into four parts:Firstly, wind tunnel manometry test in different wind fields on rectangular andsquare models having no surrounding buildings is done. Comparative analysis of thecoefficients of average wind pressure, of fluctuating wind pressure, the fluctuatingwind pressure power spectrum on the measuring points of windward side and thespace correlation of wind pressure is made. Laws on the above mentioned aspects forhigh-rise buildings having no surrounding buildings are obtained.Secondly, wind tunnel dynamometer test in different wind fields on rectangularand square models having no surrounding buildings is done. Comparative analysis ofgeneralized downwind to the force spectrum, the coefficients of average shear, offluctuating shear, of overall shear, of average bending moment, of fluctuatingbending moment, of overall bending moment is made. Laws of the coefficients ofshear and of bending moment for high-rise buildings having no surroundingbuildings are obtained.Thirdly, wind tunnel manometry test in wind field C and wind field D on ahigh-rise office building in a city center area is done. The wind load is calculated.Comparative analysis of the distribution of wind pressure of the office building, thefluctuating wind pressure power spectrum on the measuring points of windward side, the space correlation of wind pressure, the moment coefficients, the shearcoefficients, base shear, base moment and the peak acceleration on the top of theoffice building is made. In addition, a model is made by PKPM. It proves thenecessity of doing wind tunnel test on high-rise buildings. Finally, comparative analysis between the pressure distribution, the fluctuatingwind pressure power spectrum on the measuring points of windward side, the spacecorrelation of wind pressure, the shear coefficients and the moment coefficients ofhigh-rise buildings having no surrounding buildings and those of high-rise buildingshaving surrounding buildings is made. It concludes that high-rise buildings indifferent wind fields have universal laws on these aspects.
