The energy crisis has become a global problem. With the growing global warming and the deterioration of the human environment, more and more attention is paid to the development and utilization of the new energy around the world, especially the developed countries. As the energy of people’s lives, electrical energy is especially valued, and the utilization of clean energy such as wind and solar energy is also increasing year by year. Based on the research of terminal system of the smart grid and combined with the information acquisition techniques and the intelligent control technology, this paper has designed an intelligent system for the collection and control of the electricity information, aiming to promote the development and utilization of the new energy.In this paper, we investigated the developing trend of smart grid and the current state of the acquisition terminal of it, and made a comparison with the traditional collection methods according the functional requirements. Combining with the development of the new energy, we finally proposed a method for the collection and control of electrical energy, which is based on the wireless mesh networks. It works on a scalable, real-time and synchronization network, which makes use of the structure of the wireless mesh network and combines the communication method of WIFI. This paper studies in the following aspects:setting up a development environment of embedded system, transplanting embedded system, writing RS485drivers in linux system, collecting and controlling the electrical information, transmitting the information of electricity and environment, controlling the gateways intelligently and every aspects are introduced in details. On the one hand, the user gateways work to collect the data of electricity, voltage, lags and so on, and at the same time, receive the control information from the upper computer; on the other hand, by considering the collected data and analyzing the electricity quality, the user gateways schedule the electricity and control the time of electricity usage in order to save power and increase the utilization. The user data is transmitted to the server through the wifi and wireless mesh network, and then the server analyzes the collected data to get the time-of-use price. The electricity department could schedule the energy overall, which will improve the utilization and provide the user with efficient and reliable services. Also, the system could be used to promote the development and uilization of the new energy such as wind and solar energy, and would make a good contribution for the protection of environment.
