In Central Control System of EMU Depot, as an important assistant technology,hot-standby technology is a reliable security with which system can provide24*365hoursuninterrupted service. The key equipments in the system are all duplex. According to differentbusiness environments, implementation of hot-standby is also different: The operationterminals require frequent human-computer interaction, which requires switching the right tothe use of KVM (Keyboard, Video, Mouse) automatically. Therefore the operation terminalsuse the switching method based on hardware, through the dual switch controller to completeswitching by third party, The servers running in the background don’t require frequenthuman-computer interactions, so the entire software mode is adopted, only to make sure theKVM is available in the maintenance.This paper studies the principle and method of two kinds of adjudication of hot-standby,finding the weakness in safety. Duplex redundancy is to solve the influence single points offailure, but the dual switch controller and heartbeat line don’t have effective solutions.Double switch controller with the structure of "2-vote-2"structure and the adjudication ofdouble switch software with the third party mechanism are designed after studying the variousmethods to improve system security."2-vote-2" belongs to a kind of fault-tolerant technologywhose output data owns very high security; third party arbitration mechanism means rulingmaster and slave by means of third party outside two servers.Two design schemes are putting forward after studying the two kinds of demand. Twodesign schemes are designed by module. The functions and implementations method of eachmodule are introduced in detail.In the end, the design schemes need to be tested in order to verify the effectiveness of theschemes. The test results show that, two schemes are designed in this paper has highreliability and availability.
