In the based Micro PV Inverter distributed power generation system, a largenumber of Micro PV Inverters are intensively connected with each other in parallel.The abnormal operation of one single Inverter may cause bad affect on the wholesystem, and reduce the overall power generation efficiency of the system. To find,analyze and avoid the trouble of the system, the monitoring of the relevantparameters of the system makes it significant for the development of grid photovoltaicpower generation and the stability of the grid voltage.This paper analyses the development situation at home and abroad about theMicro PV Inverter based distributed power generation monitoring system, studies thecharacteristics of the system, and proposes a monitoring system solution that consistsof ZigBee communication,power interface unit(data transfer station), mobile terminaland PC monitoring and controlling platform.ZigBee node technology and design method was studies. A ZigBee node modulebased on CC2530and CC2591was developed..ZigBee network topology structure,network technology and ZigBee2007/PRO protocol stack was studies further. Asimplified ZigBee cluster-tree network communication systems was developed, andapplied to the Micro PV Inverter based distributed power generation system.This subject proposed the concept of power interface unit, studied the design ofthe power interface unit include the selection of key elements and parameters. Theinterface unit of power monitoring network as a whole data interchange systems is thebridge between grid and photovoltaic micro-inverter distributed generation systems.a mobile terminals and PC based monitoring platform were developed, and acomprehensive historical database system was established.It provide valuable data toimprove and optimize future systems as well as benefit the analysis of system failureand scientific research. The multi-functional and friendly interface of the systemenabling users to view and operate expediently.Finally,this subject developed the ZigBee module and the Micro PV Inverter based distributed power generation monitoring system test platform.Test for signaltransmission quality,communication distance, RS485response characteristics, PC andmobile terminal function of the ZigBee module.Experiment shows that signaltransmission quality of ZigBee module we developed is good, stable communicationin200meters,farthest communication distance is300meters;In the whole process ofcommunication, RS485has a fast response characteristics, and spent only25ms fromsending to receive; PC can realize the function of real-time monitoring,generatereports,and create history database; Mobile terminal can complete the real-timedisplay and remote control function of parameters,besides, the interface switchingsmoothly.
