The world’s economy has been developing rapidly since21stcentury while the demand of energyremains growing. The huge social demand of energy promotes the fast growth of the whole electric powerindustry. As the scale of power grid expands, higher requirements for power supply are put forward.The condition of power grid is the key to guarantee the safe operation and reliable power supply of thepower grid. Therefore, seeking an effective mode of power grid maintenance becomes one of the mostimportant duties of a power enterprise.In fact, the study of power grid maintenance has always been a research topic since the birth ofelectricity. It has become a necessary development from accident maintenance, regular maintenance tostatus maintenance.The overhaul of power grid equipments in Shantou Power Supply Bureau basically follows thetraditional methods. In recent years, as enterprise informationization is developing quickly, theinformation management system of safety production has input relatively comprehensive and detailedinformation of the equipment. These abundant records of equipment imperfection and correctivemaintenance have become valuable resource in carrying out condition-based maintenance. Besides, theyalso help in researching and developing several on line monitoring system. For example, groundingtransformer core online monitoring system and oil chromatogram on-line monitoring system.Integratingthese systems can provide data for implementing condition-based maintenance. In conclusion, it’s timefor Shantou Power Supply Bureau to step-by-step start using the condition-based maintenance.In consideration of the condition of equipment maintenance and other factors in Shantou PowerSupply Bureau, the enterprise launches a project in researching and developing "comprehensive analysis ofon-line monitoring". This is the initial idea of this essay. This essay is to discuss the research anddevelopment of comprehensive analysis of on-line monitoring platform. First, by comparing thetraditional power grid equipment maintenance and condition-based maintenance methods, the authoranalyzes the advantage of condition-based maintenance and its inexorable trend. Then, through designingthe overall framework of the system platform, illustrating the main function modules and operation flow,the author discusses the feasibility of this system platform.
