The assess of the equipment state and decision of maintaining transformer equipments of Nanning power grid, in this paper, the advantages and disadvantages between the Time-Based Maintenance and Condition-Based Maintenance on the electric equipment will be analyzed. Transformers are major devices in power system, and their reliable operation directly concerns the safety of power network. Gas solved in oil meteorologic chromatogram analysis is an important means of detecting inner faults in transformers. With the development of power network and enhancement of operating voltage, the method of Gas solved in oil meteorologic chromatogram analysis has been improved greatly, and strides an essential step, varying from conventional chromatogram analysis to present on-line monitoring.According to the domestic and overseas oil chromatogram detecting systems provided at present, considering the factors and error sources which influence the results of conventional oil chromatogram analysis, it has proved the on-line monitoring of six gas solved in transformer oil with characteristic of infiltrative film in transformer substations. It has indicated that the on-line monitoring system is stable, credible and able to reflect the status of transformer operation. It can be used as warrant of condition maintenance.The ways to develope the oil chromatogram on-line monitoring system for Condition-Based Maintenance on the transformer equipment will be given in this paper, due to our conditions of equipment and personnel nowadays, the apply of oil chromatogram on-line monitoring in experimental substations of ShaTian, AnCheng, we make a summary of evaluating the insulation status of transformer. The analysis of transformer operation status and faults diagnosis, and practical data is a major task of this paper. After more than one year of operation, comparison of on-line detecting data and conventional detecting data of ShaTian, AnCheng experimental transformers have indicated that the MGA2000-6 system and MGA2000-6-01 device operates with reliability and stability. Base on the system, we are able to synthesize the status of transformer operation and basic realize Condition-Based Maintenance of Transformer. At the same time, we have developed the supervising techniques MIS software system, which could realize the integrated functions of importting the oil chromatogram on-line monitoring data and analyzing the test reports, processing and analyzing chromatogram data. Base on the system, we are able to synthesize the status of transformer operation and basicly realize Condition-Based Maintenance of Transformer. The system has achieved advanced level in this field in domestic. Also, some defects of this system have been found and improving measures has been proposed.Generally, through this study task, all releated hardwards and softwards systems operate stably. It has great meaning for the making of transformer maintaining projects and the safety of power network.
