The Design Research Of The Connection Space Of Guangzhou Large Commercial Complex And Metro Station Hall

With the rapid development of urbanization and economy, the commerce grows withunprecedented high speed. In recent years, the design and construction of large commercialcomplex is increasing. Meanwhile, recording to the urbanization, the change of socialdemands, and the urban traffic problem, the metro traffic which is a fast public transportationmode with large capacity, plays a considerable role in urban development. Related to thediversity and Complexity of commercial buildings, commercial space is beyond its closedstate and is evolved into a complex dynamic open system with multi-level, multi-factor.Nowadays, there are some commercial complexes are involved into urban public trafficsystem. Thus there is no clear boundary between commercial and transportation space. Thus anew type of space appeals with the integration of metro traffic node with large commercialbuilding.The research on large commercial complex and metro connection space, is based on aseries of development requirements, including the compact urban space utilization,environment integration, multi-functional layout, etc. Large commercial complex and metroconnection space bears important role in urban function. It is the hubs between metro trafficnode and commercial buildings, and an important part of commercial construction andrenovation as well. However, this kind of space is still in its infancy in China. Althoughtaking many domestic and foreign experience as reference in design and construction, there isno practical theory and design method as support. And there is some problems existing due tothe lack of relevant policies and regulations.In order to remedy the situation, this paper expounds the construction situation andexisting problems of the connection space between metro traffic node and large commercialcomplex, and analyzes the key factors which arise the problem. In this article, it containson-the-spot investigation in Guangzhou and case analysis of the connection space of largecommercial complex and metro system, study of the history and development of the publicspace, analysis of advantages and disadvantages of various modes of connection space. Basedon above, it summarizes the design principle of the connection space, and build up the designstrategy and practice system about the connection space of large commercial complex andmetro system.
