Due to the rapid development of urban construction and the expansion of construction scale, the transportation pressure of ground public transportation has become increasingly prominent, and the metro has become the focus for the development of urban transportation system. The spatial environment of the metro is an important part of urban public space. While bringing convenience to people, its acoustic environment has become increasingly prominent, especially in Guangzhou, where the number of metro lines is increasing rapidly, causing great concern. At present, most of the existing research results on the acoustic environment of metro stations are focused on the impact of metro vibration and train operation noise. There is limited research on the subjective influencing factors of metro station acoustic environment evaluation, and there is a lack of research on the interaction between the spatial acoustic environment and visual environment of metro platforms. This paper takes the acoustic environment of Guangzhou metro platform space as the research object and uses the relevant theoretical research in soundscape science, literature, field research, questionnaires and audio-visual interaction experiment to conduct a comprehensive and systematic study on the perception and evaluation of the acoustic environment of users in the metro platform space. The aim is to reveal the influencing factors of the acoustic environment evaluation of metro platform space based on questionnaire survey and audiovisual experiment, and on this basis, propose corresponding acoustic environment optimization strategies for the platform space of Guangzhou Metro.Firstly, through literature review and on-site research,we understand the basic situation of Guangzhou metro platform space, including the typical station space form, sound type, visual environment status, and so on.The study also used high-fidelity recording equipment to record sound and a DSLR camera to capture visual materials.Secondly, subjective questionnaire surveys were used to understand the perception of different types of people towards the acoustic environment of Guangzhou subway platform spaces, and to analyze the subjective influencing factors of acoustic environment evaluation. The overall evaluation indicators for the acoustic environment in the questionnaire are comfort and quietness, and the overall environmental satisfaction is evaluated;the indicators for evaluating sound are annoyance and subjective loudness, and statistical analysis is conducted on the frequency of sound being heard.Research has found that subjective factors significantly related to acoustic environment evaluation and sound evaluation include age, occupation, education, and the purpose of taking the subway.Once again, using the research method of audiovisual interaction experiments, analyze the perception and evaluation characteristics of the acoustic environment in specific audiovisual scenes by participants, and explore the objective influencing factors of platform space(sound types, visual elements)on the evaluation of the acoustic environment. The experimental results indicate that both pure audio and audiovisual combination stimuli have a significant impact on the evaluation of acoustic environment by sound type;when the same auditory material is stimulated, different visual scene stimuli have a significant impact on the subject’s perception and evaluation of the acoustic environment, with light and color being the two most important influencing factors in the visual environment. Finally, based on the results of investigation and experimental research, optimization strategies for the acoustic environment of metro platform space are proposed from two aspects: overall regulation and design of sound sources, and optimization of visual environment design, and future research directions are expected. The innovation of this paper is to consider the interrelationship between acoustic environment-users-platform space, analyses the influence of the sociological characteristics of different groups of people on the evaluation of the acoustic environment through questionnaires, and uses audiovisual interaction experiments to analyse the influence of audiovisual elements on the evaluation of the audiovisual environment in the metro space, producing realistic and credible results. In theory,it provides a new approach for the study of the acoustic environment of metro platform spaces in China, and in practice,it helps design units and management departments to improve the acoustic environment quality of metro platform spaces.
