The trend of modern engineering design is becoming parallelizing, networking,intelligent,then to achieve high level integration. As the product design process is complexincreasingly, collaborative design has become inevitable. A good process modeling andplanning technology, as a kind of integration framework, can put the uncertain factors in theprocess of design be modeling, regularity, and then provides designers with a good workenvironment. On the other hand, the Petri net(Said parallel system of discrete mathematicalmodel) can be used effectively in the optimization of the design process as its normativesemantics, graphical expression, extensive applicability and mathematical analysis as well asits mature mathematical model which is used to qualitative and quantitative analysis. Therefore,this topic mainly talks about the collaborative process design based on the Petri net.From early document reading, we found the resource, the design and the process are thethree elements of the collaborative design process. In the design process, the resource, thedesign and the process will inevitably conflict. In collaborative environment, the modeling isconducted mainly around the resource conflicts, design conflict and process conflict.Therefore, this article main content is as follows:In terms of process modeling of resource conflict, the research is proposed that usesDSM(Design Structure Matrix) and Petri net in the modeling and simulation of the designprocess. First, the DSM model product process design is used. Then from product design andprocess characteristics, the basic model structure of coloring Petri net is defined to support thebasic process logic. By mapping the DSM for coloring Petri nets, the coloring Petri net modelof product design process is established. On this basis, the model of dynamic distribution ofeffective design resources is established, and then, through quantitative simulation analysisresource conflict detection is achieved and the resources is redistributed and adjusted. Theeffectiveness of the method is illustrated through the bridge crane car design.In terms of process modeling based on design conflict, the theory of extenics and thedesign conflict resolution methods of Petri net is used in the design process. Firstly, thedependent function of extenics theory is used to carry on the design conflict check and Petri netto express the rules containing. Secondly, getting the under matter-element by upper matter-element analysis and modeling CPN Tools at the data conflict in the design. Bysimulation for many times, the data in design conflict is optimized and the design conflictresolution is achieved. Take bridge crane girder design as an example, the design conflict ofgirder self-respect solving and the problem of its stiffness and strength is solved.In process modeling based on process conflict, Petri net is proposed in using hierarchicalcoloring of process conflict resolution. First of all, the product design process is modeled usinghierarchical coloring Petri net, and the process is effectively monitored by simulation tool CPNTools of Petri net. Thus, the rationality of the design process is assessed and the collision of theprocess is detected, all this make the design process verifiably and predictably.According to the above research, the "collaborative design service platform system" isdeveloped to achieve rapid product development.
