Application Of Courtyard Design Based On Chinese Buddhism Cultural

Buddhist culture has positive significance for today’s social stability and development, especially plays an important role in modern people’s psychological adjustment. This paper is based on the investigation to the Chinese Buddhist culture landscape, collects relevant literature, analysis and summarizes the meaning and theoretical methods of Buddhist culture landscape elements, which makes its artistic reappearance in courtyard design and creates a "spirit artistic conception" landscape space. The main research results are as follows:1、Anglicizing the influence of "belief crisis" in contemporary social. For the Buddhist thought attaches great importance to the human mind construction and guides the people’s value orientation correctly, This paper is to illustrate the positive significance of Buddhist culture in today’s society.2、Summarizing Chinese classical private garden’s embodies and performance techniques of Buddhist culture. Taking Changsha area as an example of courtyard landscape with Buddhist cultural, and summarizing the problems and shortcomings, mainly including:lacking of landscape sketch, without artistic conception in courtyard space, courtyard privacy is not strong, landscape sequence being single or confusion, theme of landscape plant is not prominent, and so on.3、Through plenty of investigations to the Buddhist culture landscape, combining with the analysis of related literature, this paper puts forward the designing principles of Buddhism cultural landscape in the courtyard, that is:Designing is derived from heart; rustic and luxury, representational and abstract are to be considered; adapting the design trends. What’s more, this paper summarizes the Buddhist culture landscape elements that can be applied to the courtyard design, Mainly includes rocks, water, landscape sketch, plant species, pavement materials, summarizing the Buddhism cultural connotations, techniques and attentions of the landscape elements’ systemically. Furthermore,"Artistic conception" is the essence of Buddhism culture garden landscape, which needs to be according with the characteristics of "empty", "ease","quiet" and "simplicity".4、According to this article’s results on theories and methods of Chinese Buddhist culture landscape which applied in courtyard design. This paper puts forward two designs, with one in the traditional garden style and the other is in the modern style. Moreover, in the design, it uses Buddhist culture landscape elements in the courtyard selectively and takes modern design methods and expression to explain the traditional Buddhist philosophy.Courtyard is a outdoor space that is the closest part to the human body and mind. Meanwhile, the Buddhism culture yard can filter our thoughts and rebuild the faith, making us to be peaceful even in the complex and noisy society, to feel the existence of the "inner heart", and not to lose ourselves, having the tranquil life.
