Research On Automatic Weather Information Collection Technology Based On Internet Of Things

The quality of weather condition is one of the key factors of affecting the stability of our nation and people’s living. The highway is an important existence form of modern transportation, and its unique particularity makes it very dependent on weather environment. Especially in recent years, the traffic accidents results from weather condition have a large proportion, therefore, the high-precision automatic collecting and wireless transmission of weather information on road have become an important research direction on realizing the safety and smooth on highwayThis paper uses the intelligent sensor and wireless sensor network technology which are belong to Internet of Things to collect the eight kinds of weather elements information that have influenced the safety on highway. At the same time, it uses CC2431wireless communication module to achieve the task of information transmission, exchange and wireless communication among sensor nodes in the Internet of Things. At the aspect of communication routing protocols, it optimizes the algorithm of Low Energy Adaptive Clustering Hierarchy, that is LEACH considering the factors of node leaving energy, the distance between nodes and gateway and data fusion. At last, this method achieves the purpose of saving the energy consumption of sensor network, extending the lifetime of wireless sensor network and the whole Internet of Things.By the way of applying the modern technology of Internet of Things to the weather collecting on highway, it can achieve the fast, reliable, and efficient weather elements collecting on highway. It has great significance for improving the profession of weather monitor and reducing the rate of traffic accidents.
