The street is one of the most familiar urban space, where we live. When we come toa strange city, through the streets we form the awareness and understand of it through thestreets. And there are always inseparable from its streets on our memory of a city. Thestreet is the city’s window and microcosm. It represents the qualities, characteristics andlevel of development of a city. Which can best embody the urban life is the most frequentcontact with people’s daily urban life street. As the skeleton of urban space, life streetreflect the city’s culture and identity. The quality of directly affect the comforts of life inthe city.However, with the development of the city, the economic flow, traffic flow,information flow become the primary needs of the city. High-rise and higher-risebuildings going up, large-scale growing of the road, especially China’s urbanizationprocess is accompanied by a number of private cars the surge, on the one hand, lead tourban road network system level continues to expand, increasingly loose urban fabric; Onthe other hand, people and vehicles under a comprehensive and large-scale developmentof residential, commercial, office area, underground parking directly linked to indoor andoutdoor in the urban space shuttle vehicles, people on the street activities become lessand less. In addition, with the advances in communication technology, telephone andpopularity of the network makes the call instead of the day-to-day to meet the publicstreets in increasingly diluted. Everywhere in reinforced concrete and steel machinemakes the life of the streets and lost a place full of humanity and vitality.Thus user-friendly of design life of street space, make the street space be filled withcomfortable, natural, vitality, and to attract more people into the streets. Therefore, thecontent of this study is more convenient to use the street. The paper is divided into sixparts:The first part is the introduction, which discusses the research background, purpose,significance, research methods. And the introduction review both at home and abroad onthe street space theory and research, in order for the study to learn and reference.The second part is mainly about human behavior Interpret the contents of the life ofstreet space and street space subjects and psychological characteristics section explainsthe concept of street life street scope of the study and the behavioral characteristics of thepeople in the streets. User-friendly design laid a the oretical foundation for a life of streetspace. The third part provides an overview of the development of the space of the street,discusses the characteristics of traditional Chinese and Western city streets and itsdevelopment, reflect on the status quo of China’s modern urban life street.The fourth part is made from the characteristics and design principles ofuser-friendly street space a humane life street design strategy.Section V presents the user-friendly design life of street space, three levels of publicfacilities from the macro-blocks to the streets of the concept to the micro street were theelements of the various types of user-friendly design, and street accessibility design andother factors described in brief.The Part VI made a concluding discussion on this article, humane living street spaceto Outlook, as well as to illustrate the deficiencies in the study.
