.Urban life is inseparable from the rich and colorful street space,which runs through every corner of the city function and is also a land bridge connecting people’s daily life.The function and behavior of street public space are diverse.The market business places with street as the space carrier have been bred together since the birth of the city.From ancient times to the present,they have promoted the prosperous atmosphere of market life and business communication,and are full of vitality.However,the rapid expansion of the city has brought a scale far away from people’s daily life.It is difficult to stimulate the traditional noisy life scene in the streets of the new city,leaving only the traffic and travel function;while the renewal of the old city often ignores the connection between people and places,breaks the original neighborhood relationship,and makes the space vitality dissipate after the renewal.This kind of street market economy and street space,new city construction and old city renewal become the origin and background of this paper.The market space of life street in the old urban area meets the needs of people’s daily life.The burst of market vitality includes not only the bottom business of formal space and the basic strength of planning outdoor stalls,but also the contribution of mobile stalls or occupation of informal space to build micro commerce.Shuttling,noisy neighborhood,business communication and disorder have become the unique vitality memory of the place.The study object is the daily-life street market in Chengdu’s old town,based on the relevant theories of street public space and vitality,combined with daily public life,explores the internal characteristic factors and vitality elements of street market space and their impact on the vitality of urban public space.From the perspective of writing and logical structure,this paper mainly divides the research content into four parts and six chaptersThe first part(Chapter 1)raises questions.This paper expounds the origin and background of the research on street market space,elaborate fundamental concept,explains the purpose and significance of the research,summarizes the research status domestic and abroad,and puts forward the basic methods and framework of the research.The second part(Chapter 2 ~ 4) analyzes the problem.This paper expounds the present circumstances of street market space and sorts out the relevant theories,summarizes the research classification and content framework through the analysis of domestic and foreign cases.On the basis of a variety of research data,this paper summarizes and analyzes the influence of the characteristics of urban area and street space on the vitality of street market space,and expounds the role of the vitality of street space in the activation of street space and city.In addition,it also summarizes various existing problems to lay a foundation for solving the problems.The third part(Chapter 5) solves the problem.Through the above theoretical analysis and field research,this paper summarizes the street market space vitality model for different practical perspectives.The fourth part(Chapter 6) summarizes and prospects.This paper summarizes the viewpoints and conclusions of the research,and provides reference and Enlightenment for the future research and practice of street public space vitality.
