In recent years, with the rapid development and progress of industry, the demand ofadvanced hydraulic components is also improving. In the hydraulic system, the main controlelement is hydraulic valve, which is mainly used to control pressure, flow rate and direction, soas to control the hydraulic cylinder or hydraulic motor’s start, stop, speed, direction and actionsequence, etc., in order to meet the various types of hydraulic equipment for requirements ofsports, velocity, force or torque. Hydraulic valves accounts for a considerable proportion in anyof hydraulic equipment or device of hydraulic system, therefore, improving the hydraulic valvecontrol precision and the stability of the control hydraulic transmission has been an importantsubject for researchers. Non-circular opening spool valve, also known as throttling groove spoolvalve, there are many different shapes of the throttle slot and their combinations evenlydistributed in the valve core. It has good sealing, long service life, cracking and closingcharacteristics, the outstanding of stability and controlling, so some advanced hydraulic valvecores are designed as non-circular opening spool valve.First, the calculation formula of the orifice size of non-circular opening spool valve ofV-groove is deduced. Then SolidWorks is applied to settle the model of V throttling grooveproportional valve, and import it into the computational fluid dynamics software FLUENT tosimulate; under the condition of different import and export pressure differential and differentvalve opening, and the slide valve interior flow field simulation results were analyzed, anddeduced valve internal flow field velocity, pressure and mass flow with the changes of importand export pressure differential and valve opening. At last, correct the flow coefficient of themodels, and summarizes the main effects on the flow coefficient changing parameters. The dataand conclusions of this paper have very important significance in structure optimization designof non-circular opening spool valve and performance ascension.
