Shock testing machine is an essential testing machine in making a study of new materials, new technics,new technology and new structure. With the development of advanced manufacturing technology and the implementation of energy saving, the shock testing machine, which not only has functions of high accuracy and high reliability, and other such as high cost-effective ratio, high performance-weight ratio, less weight, more co-ordinated with resources and environment, is required.This paper uses computer simulation analysis technology, moden design method and general design softwares to research on how to reduce the weight of JB30/15pendulum shock testing machine on the basis of investigating and analyzing the performance and current manufacturing situation. First, its solid model is built by the three-dimensional modeling software of UG, the trajectory of its pendulum is calculated according actual equipment parameters and its kinematics simulation is made by the multi-body kinematics simulation software of ADAMS. Second, finite element analysis, include the static structural analysis and modal analysis of column, pedestal and pendulum, is analyze by the software of ANSYS. Finally, the lighting design is completed to reduce entire weigh with the weight of JB30/15pendulum shock testing machine as a optimization goal. The result of optimization design is that20percent of the total weight is reduced,about60kg.The research results show that the lightening design plan of shock testing machine, the research methods, routes and means of above is applied, is viable and also effective. The paper, in studying the application problem of computer simulation analysis technology, provides a basis on designing and manufacturing the some type machines, and also is more beneficial to manufacturers in saving materials, reducing the cost of the product, cutting the energy and improving the market competitiveness.
