Under the pressure of Energy and Environment, natural ventilation has graduallyattracted people’s attention, the reasonable application of natural ventilationtechnology can replace or partially replace the air-conditioning technology to improvepeople’s living and working environment, and to achieve the purpose of energy saving.At present, most study on natural ventilation is on the basis of steady boundaryconditions, while the reality of wind is in random fluctuation.Firstly, the characteristics of the natural wind is analyzed, especially thefluctuating characteristics of natural wind. The correlation of natural wind is analyzed.At the same time, several kinds of prediction model of natural wind are summarized.Secondly, based on the analysis on the characteristics of natural ventilation,theinterval one minute wind speed distribution value is predicted as the boundarycondition of numerical simulation, according to the method of Monte Carlo GARCH(1,1) and the Changsha typical metrological data. Then a simple single-zone modelwith two opening is analyzed on the heat balance equation, which is based on constantvelocity, sinusoidal velocity and the prediction of random wind velocity. Theinfluence of natural ventilation performance is analyzed from perspectives of theindoor temperature, ventilation hours and energy saving.Finally, Residential building is divided into different zones including sittingroom, bedroom, kitchen, toilet, and other rooms, and each rooms are connected bydoors, and each room’s ventilation is in the mutual influence. Different internalventilation mode will be informed according to different window-opening behaviors.This paper analyze residential building’s flow field with five differentwindow-opening behaviors by AIRPAK. Finally,the contradiction on building orientdetermined from the perspective of natural ventilation and building energyconsumption was pointed,then the expected value of building energy consumptionwas proposed, which consider the natural ventilation, for determining the bestbuilding orient.
