While the industrial design in China is being in an exploration course, whichabroad has formed a more systematic design method. Though the designer’s idea isvery ingenious, they will encounter various problems in reality. Different methodresults in different outcome. So, in order to acquire good effects, it’s essential to studythe design methods in practice.In resent years, the industry of industrial design is very active in the coastal area.It offers a relatively broad combat platform for the design professional. Fromenterprise to design company, the product design is closely related to production andliving. It needs to use different design method to design different product due todifferent user and environment. The design of construction machinery needs to beaccurate, prospective and valuable. To design those products which job content isproduction and processing, the designer needs to get out of the thought of pure design,and think about the appearance design development like a producer or a user. At thesame time, in all of the links of the construction design, the designer should keep awell-made attitude, and sort out feedback between all the design stages to make a fulluse and form a complementary design process. Because of the limit of technique andcapital in Chinese company, it always needs to give up some design alternative whichwould bring about extra cost of production. So, in order to simplify design procedureand save time, it should add an assessment link of the product design goal in the earlystage of the design. Then we can focus the design scope on the important part andachieve part breakthrough and focus design to promote added value. This thesisemphasizes on the design method of construction machinery product in practice, itrelay on the economy demand, adopt evaluation and analysis, information researchand so on. The product modeling is apt to rational and detail.The topic of this thesis comes from the project of The Appearance Design ofWeft Accumulator from Zhejiang Zhongbao Group between Shanghai Yushi industrialdesign company and Zhejiang Zhongbao Group. This project reflects thecharacteristic of industrial design in The Yangtze River Delta region and it offers areference method about how to achieve outstanding design effect of the constructivemachinery in the business field.
