The main stadium of Fuzhou Strait Olympic Center is an extremely large sports construction, which has59,562seats. At the very beginning of project planning process, BIM is used for the design, construction and operation of the project. The implementation of BIM is teamwork. It is the first time to use BIM for stadium modeling and simulation in BIM application in China. The study completed the research on key technology of modeling, construction process simulation and bleachers evacuation simulation.Autodesk Revit2013is used for BIM, which includes the model of ar chitecture、steel structure, concrete structure (no bars),cable tray, ventilation pipehine, air conditioning pipehine, water supply and drainage pipehine, fire protection and Equipment room. The paper discusses the establishment of the management environment, modeling sequence, division and collaborative appr oach, making Families and templates, the main difficulties and solutions of m odeling. The thesis makes innovation in "Manual borrow" collaborative approa ch,the split solution of the stadium model, the technique of indirect model for the steel structure by using Revit and use railing Family to optimize the components of linear and repetitive.The TimeLiner Module of NavisWorks Manage2013is used for the construction process simulation, and Project Professional2010is used for special construction schedule modeling. The joint construction simulation of architecture and structure model is completed in this research. The paper discusses the four stages of construction simulation, input and output of the model, create and use sets of objects, and simulation parameters. The paper makes innovation in work ideas about how to create selection sets in the modeling and input and output process, how to deal with the inconsistency of BIM model and the actual division the region.The bleachers evacuation simulation put the BIM’s bleachers model into Pathfinder2011.The paper discussed the size, model identification, model modification, and behavior model of people and the setting of parameters, putting into the Pathfinder. The paper also made improvement in Pathfinder modeling of bleachers evacuation.
