BIM is an acronym for Building Information Modeling.21st century,on the basis of the CAD software evolution and development of BIMtechnology, it is based on a multi-dimensional digital technology tocreate a three-dimensional engineering information data model, all thedifferent parties involved from the project can be in the full life cycleof the construction project information exchange and sharing of datawithin this model, which significantly enhance the efficiency andquality of the project, and greatly reduce the chance of error and risk. This paper studies the building information model (hereinafter referredto as BIM) technology: on the basic theory of BIM and related technologies, combined with the Shanghai World Expo Cultural Center of BIM in civilmodel, electromechanical modeling,3D roaming and visual design, professional computational analysis, statistics of the amount ofmaterials engineering, drawing output, construction simulation, collaborative design, collision detection and pipeline comprehensivedetailed analysis and discussion, as well as the application of green,low-carbon building design, research and analysis BIM engineeringconstruction projects application and discusses the difficulties in thevalue of BIM applications and application process, from the point of viewof the different project participants made a number of recommendationsfor the construction of other projects application Reference. Finally, the full-text content summary, BIM can achieve the largestengineering construction projects within the rational use of resources, thus contributing to enhance ongoing industry productivity level in theconstruction field, will become the mainstream of the future of theconstruction industry management mode.
