With Chinese rapid economic development and continuous urbanization, the problem of urban traffic congestion increasing seriously. Only pursuit to increase the length of main road and broaden the width, it does not fundamentally solve the problem of traffic congestion. Only using the city (road) traffic microcirculation well, it can increase the carrying capacity of the entire road network traffic, so as to relieve the traffic congestion. This paper mainly research the traffic efficiency on urban microcirculation roads which has pedestrian crossing behavior. Expect to obtain the maximum value of traffic volume or speed through the simulation analysis of pedestrian crossing which is influenced by the two-way traffic on single-lane. It should obtain when the impact on the surrounding environment become little as much as possible which is due to vehicle walking through the microcirculation roads, and use it as the standard for limiting speed or traffic volume. The main research object of this paper is microcirculation road whose length is100m and width is5mThis paper’s main work includes the following aspects:(1) Calibration parameters involved in the simulation, such as the width of the microcirculation road, the length of the microcirculation road, the length of the motor vehicle, the range of the vehicle flow, speed range, the speed of the pedestrian crossing, as well as the range of the expectations of population flow and so on.(2) Simulate the pedestrian crossing from two aspects which include the random crossing point and the fixed crossing point. And the average value of the total number of pedestrians who can successfully cross the microcirculation road; the average percentage of pedestrian who can successfully cross the microcirculation road; the average value of the total delay time when pedestrians crossing the roads are defined as three evaluation criteria which is used to evaluate the effect which is because vehicles walking through on the pedestrian crossing, finally I use the flowchart to explain each modules of the program. (3)Reasearch the changes of these three evaluation criteria when the traffic flow increarse or the speed bacame higher or the population flow increase. The conclusions of this paper:when the population flow is10persons/min, the pedestrian crossing point is random, the traffic flow is limited in [Ovehicles/h,400vehicles/h], it can ensure the vehicles walking through have less affect on the living of residents on both sides of the road; when the population flow is10persons/min, there are10fixed crossing points, the traffic flow is limited in [Ovehicles/h,300vehicles/h], it can ensure the vehicles walking through have less affect on the living of residents on both sides of the road. The paper has52figures,4tables and48references.
