The planning and design of crossing facilities is based on the pedestrian crossing model. The research of this issue is the pedistrian crossing behaviour at road segment of no signal lamp controlling from two aspect, the psychology and real manner of pedictrian. Based on the questionnaire survey of pedestrian’s psychology and survey of pedestrian’s real manner, this issue discusses the main factor influencing them on their psychology and real manner. This issue gives a basis for analysis of pedestrian crossing’s safety, planning and design of crossing facilities and signal controlling of pedestrian by analyzing pedestrian crossing principles at road segment of crossing.Firstly, this article makes investigation and analysis of the pedestrian crossing psychological to understand the psychological characteristics of pedestrian crossing. Using AMOS software to establish equation model of psychological structure of pedestrians crossing the street.Analysis of the model can explain that pedestrians in different ages will have different considerations about the safety, convenience and comfortable when they cross the street. The study found:among the three pedestrian crossing psychological feelings: Security, convenience, comfort, the juvenile care the comfort most, then the convenience, youth focus considering the comfort and convenience rather than the safety. Elderly emphasis considered street safety, followed by comfort.The author collected 9 crosswalks in Changsha to collect the pedestrian crossing routing choice sample dates. Use a number Logistic regression sample for statistical analysis, take path selection as the dependent variable, by the independent variable selection, select pedestrians individual attributes, traffic conditions and road conditions three aspect eight indicators as independent variables, establish a pedestrian crossing decision making Logistic regression model, using SPSS software to calibrate the Logistic regression parameters. Then take the sample data into the model and validate the model, get the model accuracy. Studies show that:in the significant test 0.05 level, gender, age, spot speed, time headway, pedestrian crossing detour distance ratio the central median, one-way lanes and traffic volume has a significant impact on the pedestrian crossing route choice behavior, the main factor is the ratio of pedestrians crossing the street detour distance.Finally, together with the foregoing analysis and under the basis of understanding the pedestrian crossing psychological and route choice behavior, paper has put forward a four improve pedestrian crossing safety initiatives, a reference for the safety of pedestrians crossing the street.
