Research And Development Of Power Cable Patrol System Based On GIS And PDA

With the promotion and popularization of the information system, the management information system has been applied in electric industry. As an important part of electric system, electric network’s management must be informatization. It is also helpful to improve the efficiency of management. The power cable patrol management also need been promote, which is the most important measure in the daily management and maintenance of electric network. Because of the visualization advantage, the power cable patrol system based on GIS will be get widly application.In this paper, a power cable patrol management system based on GIS, PDA, and Web was proposed. The GIS, Mobile Database, GPS, Video Communication, and Augment Reality have been combined in this system at all. The system has patrol task management, patrol state real-time monitoring, patrol record upload, intelligent patrol assistance, and remote assistance.The principal tasks of this study are as follows:1. After read and refer to a large amount of the related literature, the analysis of the current situation of the power cable patrol. According to the requirement and workflow of power cable patrol, the paper proposes the overall design of the power cable patrol system based on GIS.2. Choose the most suitable GIS platform, after the analysis of several kind of GIS platform. Choose the suitable handheld device as the patrol terminal after considering to the system requirement.3. Complete the design of all functional modules, and list the functional module figure and program flow chart.4. Write the code base on the design; complete the integration and testing of system. 5. Summarized the paper, and give some advice for the future research.
