The fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) is widely used in the building structure reinforcementproject due to their excellent lightweight and high tensile strength. In view of the fact that thestudy on FRP reinforced concrete components has received more attention than its overallperformance, the paper carries out the following aspects of the research work:The test adapts the method of FRP reinforcement nodes of reinforced concrete frame. Twoseries of1:2ratio of a two-span two-storey frame model is produced to simulate earthquakeaction loading until failure, of which KJ1-1model as the comparative frame, thenStrengthening the frame (KJ1-2)by using FRP and loading it until failure, and making acomparison with the result of the test of undamaged framework (KJ2)which directly using FRPreinforced.Through observation of the test phenomenon and analysis of the test data, the author gainsa deeper understanding on the failure pattern of the framework, and make a further research onthe framework aseismic behaviour indexes such as bearing capacity, stiffness degradation,ductility, and energy dissipation capacity, the results show that: the cracking concrete FRPreinforced frame has a good seismic performance. Through making a summary of the Failuremechanisms and methods on framework nodes and analysis of the test results, there are somerecommendations on the FRP reinforced concrete framework in the project.The paper also makes a summary comparison of crack, durability of FRP reinforcedcomponents, the results show that, FRP RC can restrict the development of crack and has abetter durability in the complex environments. On account of the existing problems of FRP RCframework techniques, this paper analyzes a method to improve the efficiency of FRPreinforcement, including: the use of appropriate types of FRP, adhesive bonding properties andpasting methods, prestressed reinforcement etc. In the project, FRP reinforced concrete frame isnot immediately suffered damage under earthquake action, so meeting the normal usagefunction of FRP reinforced concrete framework is essential, at the same time, crack anddurability of reinforced concrete components are also summarized as a comparison.
