Inverter cabinet is to guarantee the normal work of the locomotive electric transmission, it is one of the most important hanging device, the rack is equipped with a lot of electrical equipment and it is the foundation of the realization of high voltage AC low voltage DC conversion bearing structure. Due to the constant speed of vehicles in our country, in the operation of the train in under vibration, and shock, etc under the action of random load become more complex, lead to car hanging equipment running load condition is extremely bad. The strength, dynamic characteristics and fatigue performance of the cabinet will also be affected,even affect driving safety. Therefore, the structure of the cabinet for static strength analysis and modal analysis and fatigue strength analysis is particularly important, the results of the analysis for the performance of the cabinet provides the reasonable numerical simulation basis for the design it.In full consideration of cabinet actual geometry, loading conditions and constraints based on simulation of cabinet and electronic components put forward reasonable solution. Using Hypermesh software finite element mechanics model, combined with the Ansys software to analysis the results of numerical simulation. Reference to the EN6137standard extract five kinds of computing conditions, The results show that of the static strength calculation,calculated value is less than the allowable value, relative displacement of the deformation of the partial structure is also smaller,meets the design requirements of cabinet static stiffness and strength is obtained by modal analysis of the natural vibration characteristic of the cabinet, found carrying a small web vibration frequency under cabinet inherent frequency, the structure optimization design improves the local stiffness of the structure, effectively avoid the cabinet with electrical equipment under the incentive of the coupling resonance phenomenon. Use fatigue strength assessment based on nominal stress method BS standard structure of three fatigue conditions, obtained the cabinet mother material and weld each evaluation point of maximum principal stress is less than the allowable values, and the cumulative damage ratio of evaluation points are less than1, and predict the fatigue strength calculation results meet the design requirements.In this paper, adopting the method of the vehicle installation equipment strength and fatigue examination has important significance and use of inverter apparatus cabinet of fatigue cycle and the safety of driving has certain reference value.
