The main research contents of this thesis is:using the A450forklift drive axle as the research object, using the finite element method, to analyze the stress state of the drive axle parts, then the lightweight research on the support member for supporting plate. Then the correlation test, the results of theoretical analysis for the test data comparison. The results showed that the drive axle parts numerical simulation results agree well with the experimental data. The validation of the method and the results obtained by this method has engineering application value.The main method of this thesis is as follows:the author applies3-D PRO/E software to establish the geometrical model of driving axle housing which are the critical stress component, support plate, wheel hub, and put the geometrical model into the CAE module of the ANSA software, draw the mesh, then finish the Pre-processing Module of CAE. Then create the INP file,and import general finite element solver ABAQUS software, processing of each part, each part of the stress nephogram. Finally, using Tosca software, the solver based on ABAQUS software, the support plate structure lightweight design, completed the optimization analysis of board support.
