Bucket elevator is one of the important mechanical equipments which isserved to convey material vertically, widely used in mining, metallurgy,and construction materials industry, and so on. Bearing the importanttasks involved in the production line of the conveying system, bucketelevator technical performance level affects the production efficiencydirectly, therefore much attention has been paid to the masses of users.Domestic produced bucket elevator including after years of research,THG, TDG efficient bucket elevator appeared successively, but the power.Compared with other types of bucket elevator, central chain bucketelevator adopts special drawing artifacts, hoisting height is higher, drivingpower of small, convenient maintenance, etc, so more in line with therequirement of high efficiency and energy saving. In the past bucketelevator’s traditional design methods rely on the traditional formula iscalculated.There are great differences between the calculated results withthe actual situation and leading to frequent accidents caused by tractioncomponents. However, in this paper, recalculate the analysis and todetermine the stress of the bucket elevator and size according to thestructure characteristics and working principle of bucket elevator. Anddesign the central chain bucket elevator in virtual environment, and usingthe finite element analysis theory, the statics analysis of the chain, Inorder to further study the central chain bucket elevator are ready.This thesis using Pro/ENGINEER software to complete all parts andcomponents of the central chain bucket elevator virtual design and virtualassembly, and by ANSYS and graphical Shared interface betweenPro/ENGINEER, design will be generated in the chain of3d modelimport in ANSYS software, ANSYS Workbench software completed thefinite element analysis of the chain, solving and post-processing, andobtain the equivalent stress strain of the chain at full load and no loadvalue, shear stress, shear elastic strain values and their distribution patterndiagram, Compared with the allowable strength, ensures the central chainbucket elevator during the process of running meet the strengthrequirement. Through virtual design of the chain bucket elevator, it shortens theproduct development cycle, and improves design efficiency. At the sametime, with the help of the finite element analysis method, making thedesign more reasonable, and the security performance of the productbecomes more reliable, Meanwhile, it improves market competitivenessof products, and it will have broad prospect of promotion in the bucketelevator industry. Undoubtedly, it is conducive to improve the level ofbucket elevator technology development in our country.
