The screw-in cartridge valves have many advantages over traditional hydraulic valves. While offering the same control functions as traditional hydraulic valves, screw-in cartridge valves are compact, reliable, and economical. There are some of the advantages of the screw-in cartridge valves, such as simple structure, variety, convenient installation, excellent compatibility and low cost, suitable for mass production. Because of the above advantages, It is especially suitable for application in engineering machinery.Most hydraulic valves are imported which have been used in domestic engineering machinery, it becomes the bottleneck of engineering machinery development in our country. The purpose of this study is to realize the localization of advanced hydraulic valve and to replace the imported hydraulic valve in engineering machinery, and to grasp the international advanced technology of hydraulic valve.In this paper, the solenoid directional control valves is used in an excavator, and it is usually used to control the pilot oil loop on and off and to switch high and low speed of walking loop. It has a three-position and four-way type that consist of two screw-in cartridge valves with the same structure. The structure and working principle of screw-in cartridge solenoid directional control are introduced. The solenoid of screw-in cartridge valve are simulated in static and dynamic by using Ansoft Maxwell electromagnetic simulation software, the simulation results show that the solenoid valve can reliably complete the hydraulic valve on and off. The flow field of screw-in cartridge solenoid valve was be simulated by using Fluent software.3D model of flow channel is created by Solidworks software, simulation results of different opening distance and different flow channel structure of the flow field show that flow channel structure is reasonable.A test bench is designed to test the screw-in cartridge solenoid valve. The test result shows that design requirements can be satisfied. The test data and simulation data are basically same, so it can be considered that numerical simulation models are accurate and reliable.
