With the expansion of the scale of urban rail transit construction, the comprehensive development model in the city center becomes increasingly mature and the effect of combining station and surrounding commercial or office building attracts more attention. The connecting project refers to the first-build or reserved connecting gallery that connects the station and surrounding large buildings when the construction of urban rail transit station is finished and put into operation. It is easy to cause great changes to passenger flow in the station after the opening of connecting gallery, which usually gives rise to incongruity with the surrounding environment and mismatching of passenger flow. The operation of connection project not only fails to improve passenger flow distribution problems, but also induces pressure to building evacuation and causes great potential safety hazard. Therefore, in the process of urban rail transit lines planning and designing, evaluating the combination of urban rail transit station and the surrounding buildings to identify the influence of connecting project on passenger service level within the station is of great practical significance. The main contents of this thesis are summarized as follows:(1)Putting forward to a cluster analysis method for urban rail transit station analysis. Through summarizing the existing theories and method of urban rail transit station classification, analyze the main factors affecting the classification of the station, including characteristics of the import and outbound passenger flow, transit passenger flow, sites, bus shuttle and urban geography, etc. Based on the theory of clustering analysis in statistics, put forward to a new classification method of urban rail transit station and make an empirical analysis on Beijing urban rail transit sites as well.(2) Analyzing the flow characteristics of different types of urban rail transit station. Through statistical analysis of the passenger flow data of various types of stations, identify the time distribution characteristics of passenger flow from the perspective of daily flow, weekly flow and monthly flow, and spatial distribution characteristics from the perspective of passenger flow distribution, import and outbound passenger flow, peak passenger flow, transit passenger flow and inward and outward passenger flow. On this basis, do data fitting test using data of all inbound passenger flow of selected typical stations of each type, and obtain passenger flow distribution variation with time under normal operating throughout the day. (3) Based on the station’s classification method, establish evaluation index system of problems in connecting project and the influence of the traffic service level from the perspective of station features, pedestrian characteristics, site surrounding environment and traffic organization. Combining the connection projects of Beijing urban rail transit stations design, analyze the index suitability from the aspects of design, layout and operation.(4) Establishing comprehensive evaluation model of passenger flow service level under the impact of connecting project. Take the complexity of connecting project into consideration, establish a comprehensive evaluation model with quantitative and qualitative evaluation index based on the matter-element theory, determine the weight of each index with the AHP theory, analyze and evaluate on Haidianhuagnzhuagn station to vertify the practicality and reliability of evaluation index system and evaluation model.
