Research On The Landscape Design Of The Plum Garden

In recent years, China’s accelerating urbanization process makes the ecological problems increasingly serious. Green space which serves as the "lung" of the city can effectively improve the natural environment. The Plum garden, as an important part of green space, has rich cultural connotation and it’s also the humanized place to promote the traditional Chinese vegetation culture. owever, in today’s society, with people’s disregard for traditional culture and the rigid imitation in urban green space construction becoming more and more serious, how the Plum garden shows its specific plantscape and humanistic connotation is a question worth pondering.In this paper, the author analyzes and summaries the landscape design theory and method of comprehensive Plum garden through the collection of relevant literature and the study of domestic Plum garden. The main results are as follows:1、Seen from the relevant literature, Plum blossom which is divided into18types,5classes and3departments has profound cultural heritage. It should match with those elements (rocks, water, buildings, etc.) to create abundant landscape. Plum garden that is generally fit to build gardensin natural environment with diverse terrain.2、The author of this thesis conducts the field research of the five domestic Plum gardens: Kunming Black Dragon Pool Park, Wuxi Plum garden, Nanjing Plum Mountain, East Lake and Moshan Plum Garden in Wuhan and Guangzhou Luogang Hornsey Park. By comparatively analyzing the above Plum gardens in respect of the location, scenery and function partition, plant configuration, Plum garden sketch and ancillary facilities and the design of roads and node Squares, this thesis summarizes that these Plum gardens select the corresponding landscape style of Plum blossom on the basis of their terrain features. For example, Nanjing Plum Mountain takes the form of plum woods. The author further point out that the emphasis should be laid in the Plum blossoms’collocation with other plants in order to enrich seasonal landscape. In addition, the Plum garden sketch should be harmonious and unified with ancillary facilities. At last, the Plum garden which has sense of design can reflect the Plum culture appropriately.3、The author analyzes and summarizes the landscape design theory and method of synthetic Plum garden from the perspective of design principle, the overall layout and function partition and the design of all elements based on the different types of Plum garden, and further puts forward various types of Plum gardens based on different terrains, landscaping elements and mode of planting, such as:Plum Ridge, Plum Slope, Plum Valley, Plum Stream, etc.4、Finally, this thesis completes a design scheme of BaiRuopu Plum Garden on the basis of the design theory and method of Plum Garden, the combination with local regional culture.5、In summary, abundant micro-terrain should be applied and created, also the Plum landscape types should be applicated in the landscape design of Plum garden, which makes the Plum blossom landscape diversified. Meanwhile, the plum culture can be presented through the creation of plants landscape, architecture sketch and the artistic conception of space.
