Adjustment of city energy structure and user structure, makes gas requirement present the necessarily growth trend, at the same time, also makes the dynamic variation characteristics and the inhomogeneity of user gas load turn gradually and obviously. However, characteristics research of the domestic and international gas pipe network experiment system mostly were assumed to be the constant load operation. The problems whether the dynamic variation characteristics of gas load affect pipeline leak features and what degree do characteristics affect leak features, make the subject research on how variable load effects on the leak features of gas pipeline are more essential. This thesis mainly was studied from the following aspects:1. We established laboratory leak detection system, and built gas network experiment model according to the similarity principle, etc. For the influence of pressure differential of each network node on the factors including gas source point position, load point location, leakage point location, load point load, the number of the load point and load dynamic change, we have designed multiple experimental schemes. Try to research the regular influences of pressure differential fluctuations of pipe network before and after the leakage on the varying load, and find the low reliability area under the different network distribution.2. The author has carried on the simulation of city gas medium voltage ring network under the varying load condition using the Pipeline-Studio software, compared the simulation results with experimental results, and analyzed and summarized the regular influences of pressure differential fluctuations before and after the leakage on the varying load.3. With the practical engineering data on Tianjin outer ring’s gas network, the author has simulated variable load operation of main load users under the normal condition and leakage condition, and one of the load users was approximated as a leakage point. Then, the author compared engineering simulation results with experimental results and software simulation results, and the comparative result verified the consistency of engineering simulation results, experimental results and software simulation results from the qualitative side, namely, verified the feasibility of laboratory gas network experiment model. This part of the research can lay the experimental groundwork for the next deeper subject research for the various colleges and universities.4. Finally, for this article research conclusion, the author designed a new method of leak detection which combining software with hardware and combining leakage pressure differential regularity with pattern recognition technology. Make the monitoring data of the city gas pipeline network operation and dynamic simulation data (including the regularity in this paper)be deposited in the historical database to provide all-around data sharing, and provide the reference basis for real-time monitoring, fault detection and pipe network scheduling of the actual SCADA system, and ensure the safe operation of the city gas pipeline network.
