In process of speeding urbanization in our country, high strength urban construction destroyed the original hydrologic cycle which threatened unban stormwater security. It has become focal point in various fields that urban waterlog disaster occurred more frequently, and traditional "draining-based" drainage way has not been able to solve this current urban waterlog problem. Some developed countries, which had faced similar urban problem, through long-time researches and development, came up with several new stormwater management systems which achieved positive effects in practice. Thereinto, Green Stormwater Infrastructure originating from Green Infrastructure is a new kind of comprehensive management method which develops a new approach to solve this problem. Based on the study on functional mechanism of green stormwater infrastructure stormwater management, this paper with the key point of the urban waterlog problem in East Lake area, Wuhan, applying stormwater management concept of green stormwater infrastructure, proposes optimizing strategy of green stormwater infrastructure in different scales to eliminate the waterlog problem in study area.This study introduces the research progress at home and abroad of green stormwater infrastructure, the characteristics of the traditional water infrastructure and studies deeply on some representative new stormwater management systems abroad. Then through comparative study to determine the stromwater management advantages of green stormwater infrastructure, and explore the optimization procedure, method and content of green stormwater infrastructure. By the way of basic information analysis, locale investigation and computer landscape indices study comes up with the problems of green rainwater infrastructure in Wuhan East Lake area from watershed level to site level, from the whole to the individual. Based on the problems in study area, optimizing strategies of green stormwater infrastructure in study area are proposed from three levels, including regional layout structure, special layout methods and site measures.This study proposes that optimizing green stormwater infrastructure to solve or alleviate waterlogging problem. Landscape index study was used to study the influence of spatial pattern of pervious surface and impervious surface on urban drainage system. Through optimized the structure of regional GSI and summarized eight methods of GSI spatial layout to form GSI network from field scale to regional scale in order to alleviate waterlogging problem in study area. Proposed GSI optimization model and measures of residential district, municipal roads, commercial plaza to provide reference for solving similar problems.
