The paper takes the front suspension of FSC racing car of North University of China asthe research object to study the influence of suspension on the vehicle steering stability.Establish a new front suspension system on the basis of the FSC of North University of Chinaand replace the original assembly of the FSC virtual prototype model. Compare the frontsuspension system using the virtual prototype model with the original model in order toanalyze the influence of suspension on the vehicle steering stability.First of all, research the related theory of steering stability.Based on that compare theclosed-loop evaluation with open loop evaluation,the steady response with transient response,the linear evaluation with nonlinear evaluation, the steady response evaluation wasintroduced in detail. Analyze the stability margin (stability factors), the difference between thefront and side Angle, acceleration/steady turning radius parameters such as the ratio of theneutral to car steering, understeer, excessive to the influence of three kinds of steady turningperformance.Secondly, this paper analyzes the deformation of the suspension movement of thesteering mechanism, body roll Angle as well as the influence of wheel alignment parameters,such as the influence of wheel alignment parameters on vehicle handling stability. Based onthe prototype car front suspension, in view of the suspension of the steering mechanism,spring decorate A form of structure optimization adjustment, adjust the suspension stiffnessand lateral Angle camber Angle, kingpin inclination Angle and king pin wheel positioningparameters such as beam before the establishment of A new front suspension system, the newfront suspension assembly out of the vehicle model (hereinafter referred to as an "A", samebelow).
