With the rapid development of vehicle manufacturing and related industries and related industries and people’s living standards, ordinary car can not meet people’s living needs, have appeared in a wide variety of vehicles, special vehicles with different functions also gradually into human life in. 2010 The first Formula Student racing was held in Shanghai. Makes Formula One racing gradually into research universities. As a modern car, the suspension is an important part of the car, its structure and form of performance has a direct impact on the car’s ride comfort and handling stability. So design a good car suspension is to achieve an important part of the ideal, so research car, the suspension is a very important issue.First of all, according to the car suspension system design requirements for an analysis of the structure of the car, and then select the appropriate use Adams/car module to build respectively simulation models of front and rear suspension, experiment double wheels parallel beating simulation on front and rear suspension and get located parameters of wheels and changing curve of main parameters of suspension. Finally this thesis uses Adams/Insight to optimize located parameters of front and rear suspension. Optimized process not only needs to consider the variation of performance index, but also consider the impact of operating stability. The result of optimization shows that front and rear suspension of the racing car satisfies design requirements and the suspension performance achieves ideal range. In order to analyze comprehensively, this thesis also researches statics and analyzes the main components of suspension using finite element method. Analytic result shows that the suspension satisfies structure requirements from deformation and stress. Based on modal analysis, the design of low arm is also satisfies requirements. Modal analysis of low arm also provides reference for finite element analysis of double wishbone suspension, while also providing ideas, methods and valuable experience in the design for the next FSC racing development.
