Transportation, the infrastructure facility of the national economy, is closely related to the development of many economic departments as well as people’ daily life. Transportation geography, who studies transportation geographical combination and its law of development, is being one of the core fields of geography. The organization and layout of the transportation system deeply influence the regional economic and social space structure. Practically, the interaction of the railway net, city system and regional spatial structure have been the research focus of transportation geography which is one of the important branches in human geography. As an important part of transportation system, railway lies in a position of material condition and prerequisite in the formation of city system. Especially the trunk line, which connects many a city, the railway keeps a high relationship with the regional spatial development. All in all, it is of great significance to study the relationship between the railway system and the city’s spatial structure.Because Fujian Province is regarded as the coastal defense for a long time, Fujian belongs to undeveloped areas in our country. As the traditional railway backward area, Fujian railway lay in railway terminals and terminal positionIn for a long time.Inthe wave of economic growth mode transformation and stimulating domestic demand, the construction of the infrastructure facilities, like railway net, is being an important field of investment. The development of the railway in Fujian Province now stands in a critical period.In the background of our country investing four trillion RMB into the railway construction, Fujian Province should surely grasp this opportunity to scientifically project and promote the construction of railway positively in the wave of its rapid development. Such Fujian Province can provide traffic security for both the construction of the Economic Zone on the west side of the Strait and the development of itself. It has a certain practical significance and application value to discuss whether the railway scale is reasonable and it has a mutual benefit with the urban system spatial structure. The same with putting forward the corresponding adjustment optimization strategy which is based on the analysis of the railway system and the economic development of the space structure of Fujian Province.
