The shear wall structure has become one of the most important structures of high-rise residential buildings because of its large lateral stiffness and good seismic ductility.In the design of shear wall structure,how to arrange the shear wall members economically,reasonably and effectively is the most important problem for engineering designers.The present state code for the design of relevant structures gives some basic principles for arranging shear walls in shear wall structures,but there is no specific operational criterion for the shear walls.Therefore,it has great theoretical and practical value to find a shear wall arrangement and effective optimization method to reduce the designer's workload,improve the structure design of the technical and economic signals.Firstly,based on the principle of reasonable stiffness of shear wall with lateral displacement and appropriate period,this paper studies the calculation model of the reasonable number of shear walls in the structure.And then,under the condition of ensuring the torsional displacement ratio and period ratio of the shear wall to meet the specifications,we optimized the position arrangement of the shear wall by taking structural torsion angle as the index.Finally,combining the reasonable calculation model and the layout optimization model,we use the improved genetic algorithm to automatic optimization search the structure of the shear wall layout by taking the minimum total length of the shear wall as the objective function.Through the above research,we get the following conclusions:(1)We set up a reasonable quantity model of shear wall based on the criterion of reasonable stiffness,which is held by the lateral displacement limit and appropriate period of the shear wall structure.(2)We propose an optimization model for the layout of shear walls with the objective function of minimizing the total length of the shear wall in the structure,considering the reasonable length of the structural shear wall,the displacement angle between layers,the torsional displacement ratio and the cycle ratio as constraints.(3)We improve the coding,selection and cross-over strategies of genetic algorithm.And based on the method,we use MATLAB software to writhe programs to achieve automaticoptimization search of the number of shear walls and the layout of the shear wall in the structure.(4)Combined with the engineering examples,we input the optimization scheme of this paper into the commonly used structural analysis and design software.The results show that the optimization scheme could meet the requirements of structural specifications and ensure good economic.
