Water is a non-renewable resource, which is indispensable forsurvival and development of human and society. The carrying capacity ofwater resources is combined with water environment system andeconomic system, which study the largest financial abilities in one areaon the basis of sustainably reusing the limited water resources as well asconsidering social and economic overall interests. However, the methodof “input-output” can research the related problems about water resourceand economic system briefly and conveniently.Firstly, you’ll be told the preparation for constructing the carryingcapacity model of water resources, that is calculating the water resourcesin “System of Environmental-Economic Accounting for Water”, andbriefly describing this accounting system, and introducing the method ofhow to calculate water requirement from both ecology and local residents. And then the statistical model of productive water can be got in thepassage.Secondly, the theory of “input and output” model has been describedin this passage, and then water resources can be introduced, whichconstruct the input and output table of water resources, finally we’ll makean comprehensive analysis of the table and get the model of carrying capacity of water resources. At last, we’ll take the case of Gansu province, including researchingthe carrying capacity of water resources, as well as evaluating andoptimizing the structure of water in it. In addition, we’ll focus on givingsome effective advice to help this province utilize the limited waterresources efficiently and optimize the mode of economic growth.
