Study On The Development Of Social Economy And The Water Resources Carrying Capacity In Gansu Province

As the basic research project of sustainable development and water safety, water resources carrying capacity has drawn much attention from the researchers, and it is becoming a keystone and hot point in the water resources sciences. The measurement of water resources carrying capacity is an important guidance to the sustainable development of arid and semi-arid areas.For Gansu province that is famous for its draggling and aridity, it is very important to research the relation between water resources carrying capacity and the development of social economy in drainage areas roundly, and to harmonize the relation of living water demand, production water demand and zoology water demand,.This paper elucidates water quantity, water quality, water available quantity in different period, water supply and water demand in every drainage area, brings forward reasonable project of water collocation, analyses and evaluate water resources carrying capacity, and brings forward countermeasures and measure. The main content includes:① Based on the former research accomplishment, the thesis synthesizes the concepts of water resources carrying capacity, the theoretical basis and the evaluating method, and brings forward the base, evaluating rule and evaluating index system of sustainable water resources carrying capacity②The thesis introduces the natural conditions, social economy and water resources of the study area.③ It forecasts the development of social economy and the water demand in different departments in 15 years.④The thesis forecasts the water supply ability in 15 years, according to the water demand, it collocates the water reasonably and brings forward the commendatory project of water collocation.⑤ It analyses water supply and demand of the commendatory project, on the premise of the balance of water supply and demand, it adjusts the structure of the industry, then brings forward and analyses evaluating index system of water resources carrying capacity⑥ The thesis indicates that after adjusting the structure of the industry, in 15 years, the water resources can carry the aim of the social economy.
