Traditional indoor lighting system has many problems, such as inconvenient controlling, wiringdifficulty, and unintelligent management and so on. Smart mobile phones becoming stronger, theycan already achieve a variety of control functions. And WiFi wireless communications technologyhas many advantages like low power, high transfer rates, and convenient networking. Bothtechnologies suitable for indoor intelligent lighting control system。Therefore, an indoor lightingcontrol system base on Android mobile phone and WiFi wireless communications technology isproposed.Indoor lighting control system consists of three parts: Android client software, AP (AccessPoint) server and lighting control terminals. The Android mobile phone use to be the system controlterminal, through install the client software. AP server as a WiFi access point that allows Androidphone and light control terminal connection via WiFi, consist of indoor lighting network. And APserver has data storage and processing, coordinating data transmission capabilities. Light controlterminal consist of WiFi module and a microcontroller and associated circuits, is the mostfundamental part of indoor lighting systems.The system include Android client software and hardware design. First, this paper analysis thebasic requirement of system design, determine the principles of system design, then analysisrespectively in view of the Android client software and hardware design different requirements. Bycomparing the system of C/S mode and B/S mode, select system scheme based on C/S mode, anddesign the overall scheme. Next design the Android client software design and implementation indetail, including the UI design, and the WiFi communication mechanism and the realization ofSQLite database of Android operating system. In the part of hardware design, the the articleintroduces the AP server and WiFi-LED terminal’s design in detail, and introduces show therealization of the function in flowchart.Finally, test the main performance on the Android client software and hardware part, record thetesting process, and then analyze andsummarize the test results.The system as a whole achievedswitch control, dimming control, packet control function through the Android mobile client forhome lighting. It realizes the goal of the study design, and has certain reference significance in theAndroid client development and intelligent lighting system design.
