Bus signal priority is one of the most direct and effective management measures for implementation of bus priority strategy. It ensures the bus priority in time by reasonable distribution of signal priority and reduction the signal intersection loss of public transport. In recent years, because the complexity of the intersection traffic conditions and the correlation between the intersection are enhanced, therefore, how to research on bus signal priority coordinated control from the perspective of system, to improve control benefit of the bus signal priority and reduce its negative effects on the social traffic, is not only beneficial to bus priority theory, but also has important practical significance to promote the development of intelligent transportation and improve urban congestion. This article in view of the existing multi-direction and multi-bus application, and the bus traffic priority and society traffic benefit balance problem inside traffic network, we has carried on the research and discussion about the bus signal priority control system, real-time bus signal priority control of single intersection, real-time bus signal priority coordinated control and VISSIM simulation, specific work summarized as follows:1. From the bus signal priority control strategies, bus signal priority control mode, bus signal priority control structure three aspects, a bus signal priority control system is build, as the essential theoretical foundation of the full paper.2. Contraposed multiple bus application problems for single intersection, the phase and phase sequence optimization method based on bus priority is designed, and on this basis the real-time bus signal priority control of single intersection model is set up with the per capita delay as the goal, the difference between saturation of the key import lane of each phase as constraint in consideration of reducing the negative impact of the bus priority to the society traffic. At the same time the genetic algorithm method of the model is designed.3. In order to consider both the bus traffic priority and the traveling benefit of social traffic, the real-time bus signal priority coordinated control model is established with multiple intersection coordinated control system as the research object, and minimum per capita delay as optimize objective, road space remaining of links as the dynamic constraint. The model is solved by the genetic algorithm. 4. On the basis of the actual road selected and actual survey data, the VISSIM software is applied to simulation and assessment, analyzing control benefits of the proposed bus signal priority coordinated control method in this paper.
