Due to the rapid economic development and the continuous expansion of the city, the ownership of motor vehicles continues to increase, making all kinds of urban transportation issues continue to emerge such as:traffic congestion, frequent accidents, and environmental pollution. Urban transport problems have seriously affected the daily travel of people and socio-economic development.Intersection is the key point of urban road network, and also the crux of the problem, therefore achieve reasonable control can effectively improve the capacity of urban road network, which is a key entry point to solve urban traffic problems. Route traffic is an important part of the urban road network, the trunk is reasonable and effective control directly affects the entire city traffic is fast and effective operation. This article focuses on the study of Urban Trunk coordination control.Urban traffic is random, time-varying and nonlinear characteristics, the traditional control methods cannot meet the trunk coordinated transportation needs of modern rapid development. Therefore, intelligent traffic control has been widely used in urban traffic control, the fuzzy control is applied to urban traffic signal control is an important direction development of intelligent transportation.This paper describes the urban traffic signal control relevant theoretical knowledge, explained the significance of traffic signal control. Analysis by focusing on the coordination of adjacent intersections controlled intersections adjacent to analyze traffic flow characteristics, based on the classic intersection fuzzy control to improve the design of the two-stage fuzzy controller. The simulation data shows two-stage fuzzy control to achieve better coordination control.Secondly, the study of the basic principles of Urban Trunk coordination control, analysis of the characteristics and shortcomings of existing trunk coordinated control mode, the reference basis for coordinated control of adjacent intersections on the design of hierarchical coordinated control trunk. The first layer is a layer of system coordination major intersection of Route signal cycle is completed, and phase timing plan adjacent intersections. The second layer is the main control unit for the intersection of the green light to complete the phase delay and switching. By MATLAB7.10simulation comparison of traditional Trunk coordination control based on the phase difference.Finally trunk coordinated control were optimized processing. Because of in fuzzy control system the select the membership functions and fuzzy rules are set by the experience and expertise may not be able to adapt to changes in traffic flow of traffic, this paper uses the membership function of genetic algorithm optimization. Fuzzy simulation data shows the optimized control to achieve more effective control.
