With the development of computer technology, communication technology and automation technology, the networked measurement and control technology has been widely applied in intelligent monitoring system. In recent years, all kinds of modern architectures are increasing continually with the rapid development of domestic economic, and the hidden danger of fire hazard is followed. The goal of this research is to design an automatic fire alarm system, which is applied to a small and medium-sized place. It is intended to reduce the danger of fire accident and to protect people’s lives and property.This paper, first of all, analyzes the requirements of automatic fire alarm system at large. On the basis of explicit system requirements, it designs an overall design scheme of the system. The system can be divided into3grades from top to bottom-fire control center, zone fire alarm controller unit and fire detector module.After that, the paper elaborates the design and implementation of hardware and software the fire detector module. The fire detector module integrates the function of smog and temperature detection, alarm input and fire-fighting linkage. As the acquisition layer and execution layer of the system, the module can collect the values of environmental factors of fire monitoring spots and uploads in time. At the same time, it can deal the linkage control command of the two levels above, effectively, to ensure that the fire is under control in first time.The paper elaborates the design and implementation of hardware and software of zone fire alarm control unit, after the fire detector module has been implemented. The zone fire alarm control unit which uses the STM32microprocessor as the core, integrates the power circuit, clock circuit, communication interface circuit, data storage circuit, LCD display circuit and touch screen circuit. Meanwhile, it sets up a software platform which based on the UC/OS-II operating system, UC/GUI graphical display program and FATFS file system. Whereafter, it achieves the real-time data display, analysis and storage by writing the bottom driver of each module, program of user task and performance function of system. It provides a good interface of human-computer interaction.Finally, through the debugging of the function, which belongs to the software and hardware of the controller, the performance of system was tested. It indicates that the system has achieved the goal, realized the automatic fire alarm function.
