“The street is as dangerous as a tiger” this sentence gave us earnestexhortations from childhood, it is not be exaggerated. After the vehicle wasinvented, the speed was already not a problem, but how to improve the vehicledriving safety performance is the main topic for the vehicle company is concerning. They are including body solid, the safety belt, the airbag and other passive safetysystem. The airbag as an effective protective device has been widely used in modernvehicle; it can prevent the serious collision damage and death for occupant, thereare disputes are still occurred because injury accident caused by airbagdeployment and airbag quality. So as to make the structure design for airbagperfect, this text aims to study airbag generator replacement device so that builda new better theory to fulfill the airbag development and design. In the progressof studying generator replacement device, it describes the vehicle collisionregulations and the basic theory and the finite element theory for collision safetysimulation, MADYMO PSM software is a multi rigid body dynamics analysis software,it applies the sub structure method of MADYMO PSM, body building and constraintsystem model for occupant on collision. The model combines multi rigid body theoryand the finite element theory, the calculation speed is higher. Base on thecollision model, DAB is developed, it is apply the replacement device to do theverification for the air structure and performance. The research results show that:The initiating process states and the filling time from the air bag staticinitiating test with gas generator has the good consistency with the airbagcharacteristics from the replacement device simulation state test.
