Research On The Merging Unit Of The Electronic Transformer Based On IEC61850

In modern power industries, digital substation based on protocol IEC61850, due to its own virtues, has become a inevitable trend in substations all over the world. As an important primary side device in digital substations, electronic transformer is also inevitably attached great importance to in power industries. So this paper does some relevant researches on the interface of digital substation.Chapter2firstly analyzes and compares the modern standards of the electronic transformer digital interfaces and it turns out that IEC61850-9.1is the easiest standard to achieve; and based on this protocol, the paper does researches on the definition and rules of Electronic transformer digital interface-Merging unit; at last, research results are applied to do modeling on Merging unit.After analysis and comparison of modern Merging unit hardware design scheme, Chapter3brings out a new hardware design scheme with multiple CPLD+DSP modules, and subdivides it by its functions; and then according to the requests of hardware design and practical conditions, the paper chooses the circuit devices and designs the hardware circuit; At last, a Merging unit prototype is displayed in this chapter.Chapter4does modeling on the Merging unit, and brings out the design scheme on Merging unit; at last, the paper does detailed designs on data process, control mode, algorithm in the software, and also makes profound analysis and simulation on algorithm.Chapter5firstly debugs Merging unit prototype, and sets up a experiment bench; and experiments results verify that sample signals, operation states and substation communication message meet the standard message format of IEC61850-9.1.As a result, the design on Merging unit satisfies the standards of the IEC61850-9.1.
