With the implementation of national energy saving policy and development of LEDtechnology, LED will replace incandescent lamp dominating the market within a decade. Based ona combination of various types of communication technology and LED drive control technology,LED control technology exhibit diverse characteristics.At present the high cost of LED drivercontroller limits the development of LED. This paper completes the study and design on WiFi-based LED control system, focus on the design of the low-cost WiFi light control node using amid-grade microprocessor,which implement the network communication protocol as well as thewifi card driver. Reduces the cost of WiFi-based LED control system effectively.The system consists of LED control node, WiFi access points, and Android light controlsystem. In order to implement WiFi Network,LED control node that embedds in LED lamps andandroid light control system access WiFi Ap.Use interactive interface of Android light controlsystem to accomplish LED dominatation via WiFi.Provided with the function of WiFi and PWM,LED control node controls single LEDlamps.The design of hardware consists of interface circuits between STM32and wireless card,power circuits and antenna circuit.And software part consists of Android control unit, WiFi networkcommunication unit, Data processing unit,PWM unit.Complete the driver of WiFi card that suitSTM32by cutting WiFi driver which is designed for linux kernel.The dirver accomplish thedownload of driver firmware and SDIO interface driver, as well as the hardware interface layerdrive,so that the node can process802.11communication.Then transplant LWIP protocol to enableMCU to handle802.3Ethernet communication;Accomplish the function of LED control byreceiving commands from Android via socket.WiFi access points consists of USR-WIFI232-B WiFi module and PIC16F1938MCU.ProgramPIC MCU to enable the node and Android access AP,and achieve receiving and forwarding of datapackets simultaneously.The development of Android LED control system is based on the eclipse platform, includingthe design landing system and LED control systems. Landing systems accompish the congfigurationof SQLite database operations, Button and seekbar. LED control systems is mainly to achieved thenetwork communicate with Ap or node.Finally, the lighting control systems is tested to carry out a series of verification to evaluate thefunctionality and performance of the system. After a series of experiments, the system’s main function have been completed. The test results indicate that the system works stably to satisfy actualapplication requirements. In general, the system described in this paper completes the goals ofdesign on WiFi-based LED control system.
