With the rapid development of economy in China, the national standard of livinghas been increasingly improved, of which one effect is that people’s requirement tothe quality of housing is more demanding than ever before. To conform to consumers’requirements, the main structure of buildings has gradually developed from the oldmultiple brick concrete structure to reinforced concrete structure.Due to theconstantly advancing urbanization and increasingly declining construction land inChina, the demand for higher buildings is now an evitable trend. Therefore, the smallhigh-rise residences and the high-rise residences have both become the most commontypes in housing development projects in recent years, but the former may use morekinds of structural systems than the latter may do. However, the related researchesand studies are not paid enough attention.Based on the concept analysis of the small high-rise residential building, thisthesis conducts technical and economic analysis of several common structural systems.Besides, taking technical characteristics and economy of different structural systemsinto consideration, this thesis also establishes a structures selection model for thesmall high-rise residential building, on which empirical analysis will be then carriedout. Main research contents are as follows:From the perspective of structural analysis, the first part introduces anddistinguishes definitions of the special-shaped column frame structure, short-piershear wall structure and ordinary shear wall structure in detail, of which theadaptation, bearing capacity and seismic performance are also analyzed in depth.Presented in the second part is the economic analysis of the three kinds ofstructures through project examples, in which a project budget is made. In this way,these structures’ respective amount of concrete and steel consumed on walls, columns,beams, and plates for the same standard floor are recorded, their respective unit areaconsumption of concrete and steel and unit area building cost are compared.According to the previous factor analysis of structure form selection of the smallhigh-rise residential building, the third part concludes a hierarchical analysis table ofstructure form selection. Combining with the former technical and economic analysis,a structure form selection model based on FAHP-TOPSIS method is built.Finally, the fourth part applies the structure form selection model based on FAHP-TOPSIS method into engineering projects and determines the optimal scheme,thus verifying the rationality and practicability of this model.
