With the development of domestic economy, there will be more demand onlogistics. As a node in logistics, the warehousing industry plays an important role in it.Also as a node in supply chain, the warehouse has a function of storage. With moreand more demand of goods and materials, the ordinary warehouse cannot meet theneed for the large scale works on logistics. Then, the appearance of AS/RS may solvethe problem. Its features such as high efficiency and easy management meet the needof high density, multi-volume and sharp work. We pay more attentions to it because itbecomes an important issue for research.The AS/RS contains many kinds of facilities and equipments. Every of them playa very important role in it. The efficiency of its works affects the outcome andapplication of AS/RS. The materials handling system is a part of it. It includes unitload storage/retrieval machine and indoor Automated Guided Vehicle System. All ofthem play important role in AS/RS. The article will put more emphasis on indoorrail-guided vehicle system. The obvious feature for it includes firm track, easyscheduling and be more efficient on high density works. It is meaningful to researchit.The article structured a Rail Guided Vehicle System with setting its parameterssuch as accelerated velocity and curve part limitations. Then, we improved its runningefficiency with finding the way for scheduling. At last, we designed simulationprogram to check its feasibility. The results show that the optimal dispatching way canimprove RGVS efficiency. The paper may provide reference on relevant research andpractical application.
