The Design Research Of Subway Station Complex Based On The Concept Of Compact City

Cities have carried many inherent contradictions since the date of birth, which are the driving force of urban and social progress. Today, the city as the gathering place of industry, population and resource, bears too much pressure such as population growth, the emergence of environmental pollution, energy crisis, traffic congestion...... various negative factors make it imminent to explore a path of sustainable urban development. Meanwhile in China, the subway as the representative of the city rapid rail transit is in the key period of large-scale construction. How to take advantage of this opportunity to guide the sustainable development of the city is a key issue worthy of our study.The theory of Compact City advocates a high density and diversity changes in the city, through mutual superposition of city function for increase of energy efficiency, reduce consumption and pollution and pursuit of sustainable development. It is an urban development model based on the efficient use of land resources. Mixed land use around subway station of great significance in the concept of Compact City and the formation of subway station complex has profound inevitability and necessity. The design research of subway station complex under the concept of Compact City is to play a catalytic role of subway station complex, to optimize the city spatial structure and to guide the development of compact city.The research is divided into four parts:the first part is the introduction of the domestic and foreign research status in the subway station complex and Compact City theory, describing the research system and main research content. The second part including the second and the third chapters expounds the necessity of the formation and development of subway station complex, as well as its basic types. Through the discussion of correlation between compact city concept and the subway station complex, further analyses of characteristics, functional composition and spatial form of subway station complex under the concept of compact city are conducted. The third part including the fourth and the fifth chapters, the related cases of subway station complex from three scales are analyzed. The architectural design methods and strategies of subway station complex under the concept of Compact City are researched from the perspectives of functional organization, spatial structure, streamline organization and space quality. The fourth part includes the sixth and the seven chapters, the difficult problems of subway station complex construction in China are discovered, and the corresponding development proposals are made from the perspective of integrating theory with practice.
