After the realization of e-commerce in passenger service in June2011, railway transportation launched freight e-commerce together with the Door-to-Door delivery service on the12306which was officially provided platform in June15,2013. The Door-to-Door delivery service will undoubtedly be very convenient for the owner of freight shipping and receiving goods. However, the freight information systems in the previous construction mostly are independent systems. These independent systems leads to a phenomenon named information-island. The freight information systems always suffer from poor information interaction. What’s more, an effective information exchange channel has not been built between cooperative enterprises. The development lag in the freight information systems results in the problems such as a high empty rate of transport vehicle, a slow speed of cargo information updating, a slow speed of approval and so on. All of these problems make serious influence on the customer experience.If things go on like this, a bad impression will be left on them. What’s worse, it will restrict the development and promotion of Door-to-Door delivery service.Based on the definition of service object in Door-to-Door delivery service and referring to Door-to-Door work flow, this thesis summarizes the data needs in the Door-to-Door delivery service. Considering the current development situation of railway freight information systems, this thesis puts forward an information system framework based on SOA. Through SOA, and related implementation technology, this thesis designs the overall frame structure and layered structure for Door-to-Door information system. A security mechanism of information system includes message mechanism and network deployment is proposed to ensure the date security in the information system. At last, an example of order processing in Door-to-Door delivery service was taken. Design and implementation for information system is also done in the example. The processes of acceptance approval and results recovery for order services are designed by the help of Mule ESB technology. Connection between systems including the transform of transport protocols and data format is achieved in the services. In order to make it more in line with reality processing, the process orchestration of those services are arranged by the using of BPEL technology. The services and arranged process are published as Web services, which can be called by other systems in the distributed system by tomcat server.This thesis makes sense to guide on how to apply SOA technology in railway freight transportation and also gives a hand in Door-to-Door information system building.
